Please Do Your Part to Stop the Legislation
A bill is about to be introduced at the Colorado State Capitol that would hurt Boulder Charter Schools and Colorado’s charter schools in numerous ways. The Colorado Sun wrote an article HERE about this harmful legislation, and now we need to act. Please stand up with the thousands of charter school parents and supporters to tell your legislator,
Colorado already has the second strongest charter school law in the nation because of our focus on accountability, flexibility, and high-quality schools. This bill tries to change that by adding regulations and making new processes that will:
Cost charter schools much more money to remain open
Push decisions into the district court instead of allowing our publicly-elected school boards to be the experts
Challenge parent choice and add extra requirements on charter schools that don’t apply to all public schools
Put adult politics above what is best for our children and students
